First Day
Today is the day...my first teacher work day, not writing names frantically on everything and getting ready to see 20 smiling faces, but my first day as a STEM teacher. I never thought I would be saying that. It is definitely a different feeling getting ready to meet 34 classes for the first time in the next five days. There is a lot of different worries and anxieties. How will I know all their names? I have 50 minutes with each...did I plan enough or too much? Am I planning something that is engaging? Will I have time to get all supplies in order and ready to go? In the last two days, I did learn to program two different robots. Now that was cool! I have my lesson plans done for the first week...team building 101. I can't wait to see what all these little scientists think and discover this year!
